Captain (C) Buddhika Liyanagamage assumed duties as the new Commanding Officer of the Landing Ship Tank, SLNS Shakthi yesterday (02nd January).

Accordingly, the former Commanding Officer of the ship, Captain (CDO) Varuna Ferdinandusz officially handed over the duties to his successor at the Three Fathom Jetty in Trincomalee. The Flag Officer Commanding Naval Fleet, Rear Admiral Ananda Guruge was also present on this occasion. The proceedings of the occasion came to a close after the inspection of divisions of the new Commanding Officer.
