Senior Russian Naval officers call on Navy Chief of Staff
 

A group of senior Russian Naval officers who arrived in the island on 20^th December visited the Naval Headquarters on 21^st December.

Accordingly, the Commander of the Squadron Rear Admiral Eduard Mihailov along with the Commanding Officers of Russian Naval ships; Varyag, Admiral Panteleev and Boris Butoma; Captain Yurievich Ulyanenko, Captain Vitalievich Antsiferov and Captain Alexandrovich Bondar called on the Chief of Staff of the Navy, Rear Admiral Piyal De Silva and held a cordial discussion on several matters of bilateral importance.

Mementoes were also exchange to mark this occasion which was attended by a host of official attached to the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Sri Lanka.
