Navy wins the National Wrestling Championship for the 18^th consecutive year
 

The National Wrestling Championship which was organized by the National Wrestling Federation, was held at Jeyaraj Fernandopulle Indoor Stadium in Kadolkele, Negombo from 4^th to 6^th December. Sri Lanka Navy Wrestling team who exhibited exceptional talents throughout the games won the National Wrestling Championship-2018 marking their name in the history as the team who secured this title for the 18^th consecutive year.

Sri Lanka Navy team won 4 Gold, 3 Silver and 5 Bronze medals to secure the overall championship trouncing large number of sports clubs in the island including SL Army, SL Air Force and Sri Lanka Police.

Member of Parliament Mr. Namal Rajapaksa graced the Prize Awarding Ceremony as the chief guest. Director Sports Commodore Jayantha Gamage, members of National Wrestling Federation and large number of players attended this occasion.
