Newly constructed Mihintale Naval Rest declared open
The Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe paid a visit to the North Central Naval Command on 2nd and 3rd December and he was received by the Commander North Central Naval Area Rear Admiral Muditha Gamage.
During the visit, newly constructed Mihintale Naval Rest for the use of naval personnel, was declared open by the Commander of the Navy and a mango sapling was also planted by him to memorize the occasion. This new rest was constructed by naval tradesmen with the funds provided by Buddhist Association of Sri Lanka Navy.
Further, on the same day, the new academic building constructed at the training base SLNS Shiksha was also declared open by the Commander of the Navy. The President of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Sandhya Ranasinghe, Chief of Staff of the Navy Rear Admiral Piyal de Silva and large number of senior and junior officers attached to Naval Headquarters and North Central Naval command were also present on these occasions.
