Captain Damian Fernando takes over command of SLNS Samudura
 

Captain (G) Damian Fernando took over the duties as the new Commanding Officer of the Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) SLNS Samudura today (23^rd November).

The former Commanding Officer of the ship, Captain (C) Harindra Ekanayake officially handed over the duties to the new incumbent, at the New Jetty of Galle harbour. The occasion was also attended by the Flag Officer Commanding Naval Fleet, Rear Admiral Ananda Guruge. The proceedings of the formal ceremony came to a close following an inspection of divisions by the new Commanding Officer.
