Navy lifesavers rehearse disaster management exercise in Kilali lagoon
 

A disaster management exercise to train and rehearse the responses in the advent of an inclement weather was successfully conducted at the Sangupiddy Causeway in the Kilali lagoon on 14^th November 2018. The programme was mooted in a bid to make the naval personnel conversant with crossing of strong river streams to conduct lifesaving missions, while maintaining speed, accuracy and safety.

The exercise was attended by naval personnel of the Special Boat Squadron (SBS), the Rapid Action Boat Squadron (RABS), SLN diving specialists and a large number of officers and sailors from SLNS Welusumana.
