Commander Hemantha Ranasingha assumes duties as Commanding Officer of SLNS Wickrama II
 

Commander Hemantha Ranasingha assumed duties as the new Commanding Officer of the Fast Gun Boat, SLNS Wickrama II, today (14^th September).

The former Commanding Officer of the ship, Lieutenant Commander Ruwan Karunarathna officially handed over the duties to the new Commanding Officer at the jetty of SLNS Uththara in Kankasanthurei. Deputy Area Commander Northern Naval Command, Commodore Senarath Wijesooriya was also present on this occasion. The proceedings of the occasion came to a close after the inspection of divisions of the new Commanding Officer.
