Navy provides 422^nd RO plant to Weera Mohan Jayamaha Vidyalaya
 

Sri Lanka Navy completed another community welfare project, on last 11^th September. Accordingly, another Reverse Osmosis plant designed by the Navy’s Research and Development Unit, was vested in the students of CP/Gale-Weera Mohan Jayamaha MV in Dambulla at a ceremony attended by Commander North Central Naval Area Rear Admiral Muditha Gamage.

In compliance with the statement “Good governance-Stable country” mentioned in the manifesto of His Excellency the President Mithreepala Sirisena, in view of formulating a healthy society and to provide clean drinking water to the people who suffer from chronic kidney disease, Sri Lanka Navy installed this RO plant using her funds and labour. This installation of RO plant would provide clean drinking water for about 1700 students. Further, Sri Lanka Navy launches community welfare projects in several ways and most of such projects have already been vested in people all over the country.

Moreover, the renovated computer laboratory of this school was also declared opened for students. This renovation work was completed by the Naval personnel attached to the NCC under the supervision of Commander North Central Naval Area with the funds provided by the Sri Lanka Navy. Ten nos. of broken computers were repaired by the IT personnel of SL Navy and these welfare works were commended by the Zonal Director of Education, the principal and also the parents.

The wife of late Rear Admiral Mohan Jayamaha (Killed in Action) Mrs. Vinoda Jayamaha, Commanding Officer of SLNS Pandukabhya Captain Sumithra Fonseka, Manager Teachers’ Centre-Galewela Mr. WM Wijekoon, principal of the school Mr. SAP Leelarathna, former principal of the school AMAG Jayananda, large number of teachers, students and parents were present on this occasion.
