Captain (VNF) Tony Perera assumes duties as Commanding Officer of Volunteer Naval Force
Captain (VNF) Tony Perera assumed duties as the new Commanding Officer of the Volunteer Naval Force (VNF) and SLNS Lanka at the Volunteer Naval Force Headquarters in Welisara today (11th August).
Accordingly, the former Commanding Officer, Commodore (VNF) WMJB Wijekoon officially handed over the duties and responsibilities of the position to the newly appointed Commanding Officer at the VNF Headquarters.
Captain (VNF) Tony Perera has joined to the Sri Lanka Volunteer Naval Force on 16th March 1992 and held many shore appointments during his naval career. He held office as the Deputy Director (Agriculture Projects) attached to the Navy Headquarters prior taking over duties as the Commanding Officer of the Volunteer Naval Force.
The occasion was also attended by a host of officers attached to the VNF Headquarters and SLNS Lanka.
