Lieutenant Commander (ND) Kalum Senavirathna assumes duties as Commanding Officer of SLNS Weeraya

Lieutenant Commander (ND) Kalum Senavirathna assumed duties as the new Commanding Officer of the Fast Gun Boat SLNS Weeraya, today (10th August).

Accordingly, the former Commanding Officer of the ship, Lieutenant Commander (ASW) Sudesh Vidanage officially handed over the duties to the new Commanding Officer aboard the ship at CNAD pier in Naval Dockyard, Trincomalee. The Flag Officer Commanding Naval Fleet, Commodore Ananda Guruge was also present and a souvenir was presented by him to the new commanding officer to mark this occasion. The proceedings of the occasion came to a close after the inspection of divisions of the new Commanding Officer.
