Navy renders assistance to douse fire at Issinbassagala Teak reserve
 

Sri Lanka Navy firefighters rendered assistance to completely douse a fire broke out at Issinbassagala Teak reserve in Madawachchiya yesterday (09^th August). On receipt of the information on fire to the Naval Headquarters through Department of Forest, a firefighting team attached to the North Central Command was promptly sent off to the location, to be engaged in fire extinguishing efforts.

The Navy firefighting team which was comprised of a fire engine, water bowsers, 02 officers and 37 sailors made strenuous effort and managed to extinguish the flames spreading out of control throughout the area.
