Western Naval Command organizes a blood donation campaign
As part of the Sri Lanka Navy’s Cooperate Social Responsibility programme, naval personnel attached to the Western Naval Command organized a blood donation campaign at the Navy General Hospital Colombo today (07th August).
The donation drive organized to contribute to the requirement for blood at Ragama Teaching Hospital’s Blood Bank was carried out under the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe. Further, this noble effort guided by the Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne had been voluntarily attended by a large number of naval personnel attached to the ships, craft and establishments belonging to the Western Naval Command.
This magnanimous effort organized in view of fulfilling much needed blood requirement of Ragama Teaching Hospital’s Blood Bank was also assisted by the staff members of the hospital.
