Four (04) Indian fishermen apprehended for poaching in Sri Lankan waters
 

Four (04) Indian fishermen who engaged in illegal fishing activities in the Sri Lankan territorial waters along with a trawler were apprehended by the Fast Gun Boat attached to the Northern Naval Command, in the seas off the Delft Island, yesterday (7^th July).

The apprehended Indian fishermen were brought to the naval base SLNS Elara in Karainagar and after a medical examination they were handed over to the Fisheries Inspector of Jaffna through the Department of Sri Lanka Coast Guard, for onward legal action.
