Navy yachtsmen take major honours at Trinco Blu Sailing Regatta 2018
The Trinco Blu Sailing Regatta 2018 organized by the Royal Colombo Yacht Club (RCYC) worked off in the seas off the hotel Trinco Blu by Cinnamon in Trincomalee on 29th and 30th June 2018.
The sailing regatta which drew a large number of both local and foreign tourists was contested by 56 sailors along with 49 yachts, representing a number of sailing clubs including the Navy Sailing Club, Colombo Motor Yacht Club, Royal Colombo Yacht Club, Colombo International Nautical & Engineering College Sailing Club, Ruhunu Sailing Association and fledgling sailors from Royal College in Colombo and St. Thomas’ College in Mt. Lavinia. During a range of events held as part of the competition, the following yachtsmen of the Navy took major honours securing 1st, 2nd, 3rd places and several other positions.
