Rear Admiral Piyal De Silva appointed as Navy Chief of Staff
 

His Excellency the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Maithripala Sirisena has appointed Rear Admiral Piyal De Silva as the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Navy with effect from tomorrow (02nd July 2018). Accordingly, the new Navy Chief of Staff is scheduled to officially assume the duties of the new position tomorrow. Rear Admiral Silva currently holds office as the Deputy Chief of Staff and Director General Operations of the Navy.
