Pakistan Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee visits Naval Headquarters
 

Pakistan Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Zubair Mahmood Hayat who is on a four-day official tour in Sri Lanka, arrived at the Naval Headquarters in Colombo today (28^th June 2018). The visiting General was warmly received by the Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne to the Naval Headquarters, before he was accorded a special Guard of Honour in compliance with naval traditions. The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe flanked by the Director Generals was present on this occasion.

During the cordial discussion held between the top military brass, General Hayat and Vice Admiral Ranasinghe exchanged views covering diverse fields like strategic, defence and military to military contacts. The discussion was culminated with an exchange of mementoes signifying the importance of the meeting. The occasion was also attended by the Defence Advisor of Pakistan, Colonel Sajjad Ali.
