Navy devotedly celebrates sacred Poson Poya day
 

The sacred Poson Poya day that marks the arrival of the message of Buddhism to Sri Lanka by Arahath Mahinda Thero fell yesterday (27^th June). To coincide with this festival of great historical and religious significance Sri Lanka Navy had organized a number of religious activities in its naval commands.

 Accordingly, special religious events including innovative and colorful Poson lantern competitions, Dansals, Bhodhi Pooja ceremonies and creative Poson zones were held at all naval commands as per the guidance of the Buddhist Association of the Sri Lanka Navy.
