SLNS Prathapa celebrates its 18th anniversary
 

SLNS Prathapa, one of the Fast Gun Boats (FGBs) of the Sri Lanka Navy, celebrated its 18th anniversary today (11 June 2018) giving prominence to several celebratory events organized under the guidance of the Commanding Officer of the ship, Commander (N) Buddhika Jayaweera. The Executive Officer, Lieutenant Commander (C) Yasith Manawadu and the ship’s crew had organized a range of programmes to coincide with the anniversary celebrations.

Accordingly, the Commanding Officer inspected divisions, in compliance with naval traditions, at the parade ground of SLNS Dakshina on 08th of this month. The proceedings of the day concluded with the “Barakana”; the age old naval tradition of entire ship’s crew having meals together in friendly atmosphere.
