Commander of the Navy attends as Chief Guest at Certificate Awarding Ceremony of LLMC
The certificate awarding ceremony of the 4th Long Logistics Management Course was held on a colourful note at the Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Auditorium in Trincomalee on 26 May 2018. The event was graced by the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe as the Chief Guest.
The Commandant Naval and Maritime Academy, Commodore Kalana Jinadasa welcomed the Commander of the Navy, senior officers and other distinguished invitees before the delivery of introductory speech on the Long Logistics Management Course by Commander Udayakumara Indika. On completion of the certificate awarding, the audience was addressed by Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe.
During the certificate awarding; the Commander of the Navy gave away certificates and awards to Lieutenant Commander (S) Tharanga Wijesekara for securing the first in order of merit and obtaining the highest aggregate in naval subjects and Lieutenant Commander (S) Shan Ariyasena who had obtained the highest aggregate in academic subjects. The proceedings of the ceremony came to a close after the vote of thanks proposed by Captain (S) Achala De Silva.
The Director General Logistics, Rear Admiral Udaya Hettiarachchi, the Director General Budget and Finance, Rear Admiral Vijitha Meddegoda, the Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Niraja Attygalle and a host of senior and junior officers were also present on this occasion.
