Appointment letters awarded for 61st intake of Officer Cadets
 

The awarding ceremony of appointment letters for sixty (60) Officer Cadets of 61^st intake was held under the patronage of Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe at the Admiral Somathilaka Dissanayake auditorium in SLNS Parakrama today (11^th May).

These sixty Officer Cadets were enlisted for Executive, Supply, Provost, Engineering, Electric & Electronic Engineering and Marine branches of the Sri Lanka Navy. Addressing on the occasion, the Commander of the Navy congratulated them first and reminded them to serve the motherland with utmost respect and pride whilst preserving the age old traditions of the Sri Lanka Navy. Further he advised the new group of officers to perform their duty with dignity and they have a great deal of responsibility in contributing the development process of the country.

Deputy Chief of Staff and Director General Operations Rear Admiral Piyal de Silva, Director General Training Rear Admiral Rasika Dissanayake, Director General Personnel Rear Admiral Meril Sudarshana, Senior Officers of Naval Headquarters, parents and family members of the Officer Cadets were also present at the occasion.
