70 Senior Sailors are awarded Interest Free loan
 

Another 70 Senior Sailors of Sri Lanka Navy were awarded Interest free loan facility valued Five Hundred Thousand rupees (Rs.50000/=) each, by the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe at the Naval New Year Festival premises in SLNS Gemunu, today (11^th April).

Chief of Staff Rear Admiral Neil Rosayro, Deputy Chief of Staff and Director General Operations Rear Admiral Piyal de Silva and Commander Western Naval Area Rear Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne also attended the occasion.

This interest free loan facility was launched for the senior sailors in recognition of their long service for the Sri Lanka Navy and 1277 senior sailors have been facilitated up to now. As at present, a capital of 639.2 million rupees has been input for the programme and it is being progressed to provide the same loan for another 3925 senior sailors in future.
