Commander Buddhika Jayaweera assumes duties as Commanding Officer of SLNS Prathapa
 

Commander (N) Buddhika Jayaweera today (26 February) assumed duties as the new Commanding Officer of the Fast Gun Boat, SLNS Prathapa.

The former Commanding Officer of the ship, Commander (H) Nalinda Dissanayake officially handed over the duties to the new Commanding Officer at the Parade Ground of SLNS Dakshina in Galle. Representing the Flag Officer Commanding Naval Fleet, Commander (C) Shylendra Jeewakarathna was also present on this occasion. The proceedings of the occasion came to a close after the inspection of divisions of new Commanding Officer.
