Commodore Ananda Guruge assumes duties as Flag Officer Commanding Naval Fleet
Commodore Ananda Guruge assumed duties as Flag Officer Commanding Naval Fleet (FOCNF) yesterday (22 February). Accordingly his predecessor, Rear Admiral Kapila Samaraweera handed over the official duties of the position to Commodore Guruge at the office of FOCNF.
The newly appointed FOCNF was warmly welcomed to the Naval Dockyard according a Guard of Honour. Meanwhile, Rear Admiral Kapila Samaraweera was also accorded a Guard of Honour in accordance with naval tradition after being congratulated by fellow naval officers for his exceptional service rendered.
