Interest free loans awarded for 25 Senior Sailors
 

Interest free loan facility valued Five Hundred Thousand rupees (Rs.50000/=) each for another 25 Senior Sailors of Sri Lanka Navy were awarded by the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe at the Naval Headquarters on 9^th  February. Naval Secretary and Secretary to the Commander of the Navy Rear Admiral(S) Vijitha Maddegoda and Manager  Naval Benevolent Fund Lieutenant  Commander KM Dayananda also attended the occasion.

This interest free loan facility was launched for the senior sailors in recognition of their long service for the Sri Lanka Navy and 1176 senior sailors have been facilitated up to now. As at present, a capital of 588.7 million rupees have been input for the programme and the schedule is being progressed ahead to provide loans for another 4026 senior sailors.
