Navy pledges its commitment to achieve prosperity in sustainable agriculture
Commencing the proceedings of the Year 2018 on an auspicious note, Naval personnel took the oath of allegiance to public service on 02nd January 2018, the first working day of the year, at a ceremony presided over by the Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Navy Rear Admiral Neel Rosayro at the Naval Headquarters.
At this occasion they pledged their commitment to achieve the prosperity in sustainable agriculture to overcome the challenge of increasing the food production in this year of 2018, in view of ensuring safe future for all Sri Lankan under one flag as united nation.
Addressing the Naval personnel, the Chief of Staff wished all a happy and prosperous new year 2018. Further, Rear Admiral Rosayro emphasized that we all should always perform our duties honestly with true sense of responsibility, efficiency and effectiveness in order to achieve the development and prosperity of the motherland. Also he expressed his anticipation in obtaining the fullest cooperation of all naval personnel to reach the said goals including this year’s theme of food production.
The occasion was also attended by Director Generals, senior and junior officers, Senior and junior sailors and a large number of civil employees of the Navy. Concurrently to the occasion at NHQ, all the Naval personnel and civil servants attached to other Naval Commands also took the oath at their respective bases.
