Newly constructed Sanghawasa at Asgiri Maha Viharaya in Kandy bestowed on Maha Sangha
 

The newly constructed two-storeyed Sanghawasa at Asgiri Maha Viharaya in Kandy was bestowed on Maha Sangha by the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe yesterday (08 December). The new Sanghawasa had been constructed utilizing contributions provided by the Venerable Narampanawe Ananda Thero and devotees. Sri Lanka Navy Civil Engineering Department provided manpower and expertise required for the project.

The ceremony was also attended by ‘Sasthrapathi' Venerable Narampanawe Ananda Thero, ‘Sasthrapathi' Venerable Handaganawe Wimaladamma Thero, Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Niraja Attygalle, senior officers and sailors.
