Russian Ambassador calls on Commander of the Navy
 

The Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Sri Lanka, Mr. Yury Materiy paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe at the Naval Headquarters today (16 November).

Mr. Materiy conveyed his best wishes to Vice Admiral Ranasinghe on his assumption of office as the Commander of the Navy. Subsequently, they held a cordial discussion focusing on several matters of bilateral importance. The occasion was also attended by the Military, Air and Naval Attaché to the Embassy of Russian Federation, Colonel Dmitry A. Mikhaylovskiy. Mementoes were also exchanged to mark this occasion.
