Inter Command Drill Competition held in Poonewa
 

Sri Lanka Navy Inter Command Drill Competition was held at the main parade ground of SLNS Shiksha in Poonewa on 08^th November 2017. The closing ceremony of the competition which was conducted for the 7^th time, was graced by Commander North Central Naval Area, Rear Admiral Merril Wickremasinghe, as the Chief Guest.

Nine drill-platoons representing all naval commands took part in the competition in which Afloat Command emerged as champion. Southern Naval Command was adjudged the runner-up in the event. Lieutenant AMMLB Abeykoon from the Afloat Command won the trophy for the ‘Officer with Best Power of Command’. The occasion was also attended by a large number of officers and sailors.
