Commander Carrier Strike Group II calls on Commander of the Navy
 

The Commander Carrier Strike Group II, Rear Admiral Gregory Harris and a host of US naval officers called on the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe at the Navy Headquarters in Colombo yesterday (30th October).

At the outset, Rear Admiral Harris extended his best wishes to Vice Admiral Ranasinghe for becoming the 22nd Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy. Subsequently, they held a cordial discussion focusing on several matters of bilateral importance. Mementoes were also exchanged to mark the occasion.

The Carrier Strike Group which arrived in Sri Lanka on 28th of this month comprised of the ships; USS Nimitz, the cruiser USS Princeton, and destroyers USS Howard, USS Shoup, USS Pinckney, and USS Kid.
