Indonesian sailing vessel ‘Bima Suci’ arrives at the port of Colombo
 

Indonesian sailing vessel ‘Bima Suci’ arrived at the port of Colombo on a goodwill visit today (October 30). Sri Lanka Navy welcomed the visiting ship in accordance with naval traditions upon her arrival.

The Commanding Officer of the Indonesian ship, Commander Widiyatmoko Baruno Aji and Indonesion Ambassadore to Sri Lanka Mr. Gusthi Ggurah Ardiyasa called on the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe and held cordial discussions on matters of bilateral importance. Commander Baruno Aji also extended his best wishes to Vice Admiral Ranasinghe on his appointment as the new Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy. Mementoes were also exchanged to mark the significance of this occasion.

During the ship’s stay in the island, its crew is expected to take part in several sporting events and programmes organized by the Sri Lanka Navy. The vessel is scheduled to leave for her next port of call on 02nd November, upon completion of its official tour.
