Navy recovers 153 kg of Kerala cannabis
 

Based on intelligence information received by the Navy, naval personnel onboard P 465 attached to the Northern Naval Command recovered 153.7 kg of Kerala cannabis floating in the Valvettithurai seas yesterday (11 October 2017).

The consignment of cannabis had been packed into 44 parcels and it is suspected that the consignment had been dumped at sea with the intention of smuggling into the country later. It was handed over to Kankesanthurai police for legal action.
