Five more foreign delegates pay courtesy calls on Commander of the Navy
Five more military delegates from Myanmar, Fiji, Republic of Korea, United Kingdom and Japan held separate courtesy calls on with the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Travis Sinniah on the sidelines of the first day sessions of the Galle Dialogue – 2017 International Maritime Conference.
The visiting delegates held cordial discussions with Vice Admiral Sinniah on range issues of bilateral importance and mutual relevance. Accordingly, Commander of Ayeyarwaddy Naval Region Command of Myanmar, Commodore Nay Win, the Chief of Fijian Navy, Captain Humphery Tawake, the Commander of Naval Force Analysis Test and Evaluation Group Republic of South Korean Navy, Rear Admiral Lee Sang Hun, the Judge Advocate General of the British Armed Forces, His Honour Judge Jeffrey Blackett and the Vice President Command and Staff College of JMSDF, Rear Admiral Shunichi Hatano met with the Commander of the Navy. Mementoes were also exchanged symbolizing the goodwill and friendship.
The foreign delegates also expressed their appreciation of the SLN’s initiative which has attracted many scholars and experts in naval and maritime affairs from around the world for exchange of views and discussions that aim at strengthening the regional maritime cooperation.
