Navy assists arrest of 02 persons attempting illegal sale of elephant pearls
 

During a search operation conducted on information received, naval intelligence personnel attached to the Navy Headquarters with the assistance of the Wildlife Department officials arrested two persons attempting to sell 08 elephant pearls illegally today (05 October 2017).

The arrest was made at Miriswatte in Gampaha. The apprehended persons along with the seized elephant pearls were handed over to the office of the Assistant Director of Wildlife (West) for further investigations and legal action.
