Navy sink Indian Lions at friendly cricket T-20
 

The Sri Lanka Navy Cricket Team sealed the victory against the Indian Lions Cricket Club of Pune at the friendly T-20 cricket tournament played at the Navy Sports Ground in Welisara on 02 and 03October. The Sri Lanka Navy Cricket team managed to record a clean sweep in the Challenge Cup tournament winning all three games.

In the first match, the Sri Lanka Navy successfully chased the target of 136 set by the Indians, in 18 overs. During the second encounter, the Navy set a massive target of 217 in 20 overs. However, their Indian Lions could only score 127 runs for 8 wickets in their full quota of overs. During the dead rubber game, the Indian Lions Cricket Club scored 121 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. However, the Navy reached their target in 18 overs losing only 6 wickets.

This was the second encounter of the same teams in the friendly tournament which commenced in 2015.
