Children of Naval Preschools celebrate world children's day
 

Under the directives of the President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), several programmes have been organized for the children of Naval Preschools to coincide with the world children's day which fell on 01 October 2017.

Accordingly, the Naval Preschools located at the Eastern, Western and Southern Naval Commands have organized special events which featured colourful presentations, dance and music of preschool children. Special gifts were also presented to the little children on this special day dedicated to them.

Mrs. Sandya Ranasinghe, the beloved wife of the Chief of Staff of the Navy, Rear Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe graced the celebrations held at the Preschool of SLNS Gemunu. Meanwhile, Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Nimal Sarathsena and Commander Southern Naval Area Rear Admiral NIshantha Ulugetenna graced the children’s day celebrations held at the Naval Preschools Tissa and Dakshina located at respective Naval Commands.
