Whale watching cruise to celebrate World Children’s Day
 

In view of the World Children’s Day, students were offered the exciting opportunity of viewing whales, the giant mammals at sea, by the Navy in collaboration with Sri Lanka Rupavani today (01 October 2017).

Accordingly, a group of 250 Sinhalese, Tamil and Muslim students were welcomed on board the Sri Lanka Navy’s luxury passenger craft, A 543, for a whale watching cruise in the southern seas. Elated by the fun-filled ride on a day dedicated to their welfare, the students expressed their heart-felt gratitude to the Navy as well as the national television network for their goodwill gesture.
