Navy Commander receives blessings on his birthday
 

The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Travis Sinniah, whose birthday falls today (26 September), commenced his duties on an auspicious note after receiving religious blessings from the Venerable Uvathenne Sumana Thera at the Maligawatta Sri Bodirajaramaya. His beloved wife, Mrs. Thiruni Sinniah and naval officers on his staff were also present on the occasion.

Vice Admiral Sinniah was appointed as the 21st Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces His Excellency the President Maithripala Sirisena on 22nd August 2017.
