Foundation stone laid for Navy nursing school
The foundation stone laid for the Navy nursing school by the Director Dental Services Surgeon Commodore DH Kularatne at the Welisara Naval Hospital Complex yesterday (31 August 2017).
The four-storeyed building will consist of an auditorium, classrooms, offices and an administrative complex for the Navy nursing school, which aims to impart theoretical and practical knowledge to SLN medical personnel, enabling them to provide quality health service to naval personnel and their family members.
Acting Superintendent Health Services (West) Commodore Surgeon Captain Chinthaka Wijedasa, Captain Dental Services (West) Surgeon Captain Hemantha Karandeniya, Commanding Officer of the Navy Hospital Commander (C) Anthony Weerasinghe, OIC of the Navy Nursing School Lieutenant Sugath Gunawardana, senior and junior naval officers were also present on the occasion.
