Commander of the Navy declares open administrative building at Naval Detachment, Hambantota
 

The Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne declared open the newly constructed administrative building for the Naval Detachment located at the Hambantota harbour premises today (19 August 2017). The construction of this two storeyed building was commenced in the month of April this year.

The Commander of the Navy appreciated the contribution of naval personnel who involved in the construction of this building to the highest standard. He also planted a tree sapling at the premises to signify this occasion.

Commander Southern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne, Secretary to Commander of the Navy and Director General Budget and Finance, Rear Admiral Udaya Hettiarachchi, Deputy Area Commander (South), Commodore Hasitha Gamage, Director General Civil Engineering, Commodore Susil Senadeera and a host of naval officers were also present on the occasion.
