Four (04) fishermen arrested by Navy for engaging in illegal fishing
 

Naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command arrested 04 fishermen for engaging in illegal fishing activities using unauthorized fishing nets in the sea area of Punneyadi, Muttur  today (16 August 2017).

Along with the fishermen, a dinghy and an unauthorized fishing net used for illegal fishing practices were also taken into naval custody. The arrested fishermen, the dinghy and other items were handed over to the Fisheries Inspector of Muttur for onward action.
