03 Indian nationals staying illegally in Sri Lanka apprehended
 

Naval troops attached to the South Eastern Naval Command with the assistance of Police Special Task Force personnel stationed in Marudamunai apprehended three (03) Indian nationals who were illegally staying in Sri Lanka during a special search operation conducted in Nindavur yesterday (11th August 2017) on information received by the Navy.

The Indian nationals were taken into custody while engaged in harvesting a paddy field in the area thus violating the immigration and migration laws of Sri Lanka. The arrested persons, aged 27, 36 and 41 years, are residents of Tamil Nadu, India and they were handed over to Samanthurai Police for legal action.
