3 persons arrested with 30 kg of Kerala cannabis
 

On receipt of an intelligence tip-off to the Navy, naval personnel attached to the Western Naval Command together with a team of Police Special Task Force personnel, Colombo, arrested 3 persons with 30 kg of Kerala cannabis, during a special search conducted at Eluthoor in Mannar, this morning (11th August).

The consignment of cannabis was taken into custody while it was being transferred for sale. The arrested persons and cannabis were handed over to the Mannar Police for legal action.
