Four suspects arrested for engaging in illegal fishing
 

Naval personnel attached to the Northwestern Naval Command arrested 04 suspects engaged in illegal fishing activities using illegal fishing nets, in the sea area of Wella Mundalam today (July, 06).

Along with the suspects 02 dinghies, 02 illegal fishing nets and 10 kg of fish were taken into naval custody. The arrested suspects together with the dinghy and fishing gear were handed over to the Assistant Director of Fisheries, Puttalam for further investigation.
