Two suspects nabbed with hashish worth Rs. 2.1 million
 

On receipt of an intelligence tip-off to the Navy, naval personnel attached to the Western Naval Command, during a raid carried out in coordination with Peliyagoda Police, nabbed two suspects with 3 kg of hashish at the Ingurukade Junction, Colombo today (June, 19)

The consignment of hashish worth Rs. 2.1 million, were seized when the drug peddlers were smuggling them by means of a motorcycle. The arrested suspects, motorcycle and the consignment of hashish were handed over to the Peliyagoda Police for onward legal action.
