SLN Marines – US Navy cleans 74 wells
 

US Navy personnel who had arrived onboard USS ‘Lake Erie’ joined hands with Sri Lanka Navy Marines, for post Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief support efforts cleaned 74 wells in Nawagamuwa south, Kaduwela  yesterday (June, 13 ).

Accordingly, 12 SLN Marines with 26 US naval personnel in coordination with the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society (SLRCS), in Colombo branch rendered assistance in cleaning of wells in affected regions in Colombo district.

USS ‘Lake Erie’ arrived at the Colombo port on 11th June on a two week post disaster relief support mission.
