Northern Naval Command conducts another field medical clinic at Mawadipuram village
As part of the Sri Lanka Navy’s Community Development and Social Responsibility project, the Northern Naval Command conducted a field medical clinic at the newly resettled Mawadipuram model village, Kankasanthurai on 10th June 2017. The initiative was organized under the patronage of the Commander Northern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Jayantha De Silva.
A large number of patients belonging to 215 newly resettled families at the Mawadipuram village benefited from the clinic. During the clinic, naval medical staff attached to the Northern Naval Command provided basic treatments for acute and chronic illness. Patients who needed specialized care were referred to the Teaching Hospital Jaffna. Medicine and nutritional supplements for the patients were sponsored by the Thriposha Lanka Ltd and State Pharmaceutical Corporation (SPC).
