JCET Balance Style course comes to a successful end in Trincomalee
 

On successful completion of the course for Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET) Balance Style 2017/01, the certificate awarding ceremony for the same was held under the patronage of the Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Travis Sinniah at the Naval Institute, Naval Dockyard Trincomalee on 02nd June 2017.

During the ceremony, Commander Eastern Naval Area awarded certificates of appreciation to the United States Army Special Forces element for its contribution in imparting vital knowledge to the SLN apprentices. Meanwhile, Chief Staff Sargent Phillip of Operation Detachment of the United States Army Special Forces awarded certificates to the Sri Lankan participants for successful completion of the training module. In his address, Commander Eastern Naval Area, emphasized that the importance of training and the sharing of knowledge, skills and information between the two countries.

Twelve naval personnel from the 4th Fast Attack Flotilla (FAF 4) and 24 personnel from the Special Boat Squadron (SBS) took part in the training programme conducted from 24th April to 02nd June 2017, by the Alpha 1333 Operation Detachment of the United States Army Special Forces. The training engagement that provided ample opportunities for the SL naval personnel, primarily focused on the Tactical Combat Casualty Care Module and Close Quarter Battle Module.
