Lieutenant Commander (Retired) Nalika Thushanthi Perera donates Rs. 341,470 to Sri Lanka Navy

Lieutenant Commander AA Nalika Thushanthi Perera, a retired lady officer of the Sri Lanka Volunteer Naval Force donated a sum of Rs. 341, 470 to the Naval Social Responsibility Fund. The cheque in this regard was handed over to the Commander of Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunartna at the Naval Head Quarters today (19).

The donation was made from the revenue she earned from the books she authored containing historical  details on  Trincomalee harbor and other ancient harbours in Sri Lanka, Fort Hammenheil , Flags in  Sri Lanka, (Heladiva Kodi), Evolution of National Flag (Jathika Kodiye Vikasanaya).

The money was remitted to the Naval Social Responsibility Fund to be used on financial projects carried out by Sri Lanka Navy for the betterment of general public.
