Navy information leads to arrest of a person with 1.5 kg of heroin
 

On receipt of information from naval personnel in the Northern Naval Command, officials of the Department of Excise arrested a person with 1.5 kg of heroin. The raid was carried out in the general area of Valvettithurai today (27) and the suspect was nabbed while he was transferring the stock of heroin.

The Department of Excise, Point Pedro is conducting onward legal action.
