Medical clinic held at Tzu Chi National School, Hambantota
As part of the Pacific Partnership 2017 which is being implemented centred in the Port of Hambantota, a number of community development and social responsibility programmes are being carried out focusing on the common citizens in the area. In parallel with those efforts, a medical clinic was held at the Tzu Chi National School, Hambantota yesterday (10).
Accordingly, the US and Sri Lanka Navy medical personnel conducted several programmes which included an eye clinic, dental clinic and OPD clinic at the school premises. During these clinics, the school children in the area and over 577 residents were examined for related ailments and that magnanimous effort immensely helped them to identify their health issues in preliminary stage to receive treatment. The teachers, school children and people from the area extended their heartfelt gratitude for both US and Sri Lanka Navies for undertaking this noble effort.
